Accommodation Reservations

The standard of hotels in Finland is high. Double rooms have either double beds or twin beds and all hotel rooms have a shower or bath. A buffet breakfast is included in the room rates and the hotel restaurants are prepared to accommodate special dietary requests. Most hotels have sauna facilities available to hotel guests free of charge in the mornings.

The Conference Secretariat has pre-booked accommodation in the hotels listed below. The rates given below (including breakfast and VAT) have been negotiated only for reservations made through the Secretariat while registering to the Conference.

We recommend that you book your accommodation through our registration protocol. A written confirmation of your reservation will then be included in your confirmation letter.

Sokos Hotel Alexandra (2 restaurants and disco) - located in the city centre, opposite to the Public Transport Interchange, ca. 2 km from the Mattilanniemi Campus area. Room rates: single room EUR 82/night (economy rate), single room EUR 87/night (standard rate), double room EUR 55,5/person/night (standard rate).

Restel Hotel Cumulus (restaurant and pub) - located in the city centre one block from the pedestrian area and one block from the Public Transport Interchange. The Finnair Airport bus stop is at the hotel entrance. Distance to Mattilanniemi Campus ca. 2 km. Room rates: single room EUR 87/night, double room EUR 55,50/person/night.

Summer Hotel Amis (cafeteria) - an inexpensive summer hotel (student dormitory) located near city centre about 3 km from Mattilanniemi Campus. Single room EUR 46 per person per night, double room EUR 30 per night. 

Hotel reservations will only be confirmed if the credit card number is faxed (using the printed Congress Registration Form or the separate Payment Form of on-line registration with all requested details) to the Secretariat  by the last day of registration.
